Cancer patients face a variety of legal challenges, such as issues with insurance coverage and payment, treatment, employment, family, and mental health and end-of-life arrangements. There are support organizations that use volunteer attorneys to help them face these challenges. The panel will review relevant laws and practices to enable attorneys to provide legal assistance to cancer patients going through diagnosis and treatment and to support, their family members or friends.
