6 Reminders for Survivors Who Are Still Afraid of Cancer

Experiencing fear on a regular basis comes with the territory of being a cancer survivor. It's a very normal and even healthy part of cancer survivorship, but something that needs to be managed, so here are six tips on how to help cope with and overcome it.

1. It's Okay to Be Afraid 

It doesn't matter what type of cancer you're diagnosed with, what your age or prognosis is, or even if you have a "good cancer." The fact is, when it's your ass and life that's on the line and you're the one left wondering if you're going to live or die, a cancer diagnosis is just plain terrifying. It's okay to be afraid, it's okay to not have the answers that we need, and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.
