Cancer all-clear leaves survivor terrified before finding 'normal life'

Updated Sat at 1:40pm
When Adelaide's Karen van Gorp was given the all clear, after being diagnosed with stage four melanoma, she didn't feel relief, instead was engulfed in anger.
The cancer had spread to her lungs and liver, and she had been told to get her affairs in order in 2013 when chemotherapy didn't work.
But after being involved in a new immunotherapy drug trial in Melbourne, two years later she was given the all-clear.
"You'd think you'd be ecstatic and everything would be marvellous, but I was absolutely horrible. I was so cranky. I was so narky," Ms van Gorp said.
