Mom Transforms Little Girl’s Battle With Terminal Cancer Into A Fairy Tale

Eileidh Paterson has been battling neuroblastama for much of her young life. There have been moments of reprieve and remission, but the cancer continues to come back. So the now 5-year-old little girl wrote a bucket list with the help of her mom, Gail Paterson.
One of the tasks on the list was particularly sweet: she wanted to marry her best friend, Harrison Grier.
So Eileidh’s family and friends decided to throw her a wedding, complete with a fairy tale theme. There were fancy dresses, Disney princesses, flowers, a bagpiper, cupcakes and cake, and hundreds of guests. The two little cuties exchanged necklaces and promised to be “best friends forever.”

Eileidh’s mom spoke during the ceremony, and what she read to the crowd has gone viral and touched hearts everywhere. See, she didn’t just help throw a fairy tale-themed wedding for her daughter — she actually wrote her daughter’s story as a fairy tale.
