Women are on the front lines of preventing, treating and defeating cancer every day. Join some of the region’s best cancer fighting physicians and experts for an informative and enjoyable evening on the latest in prevention and treatment at East Jefferson General Hospital’s Girls Night Out: Women and Cancer.
The educational and always-popular event takes place on Thursday, August 17, at 7 p.m. in the EJGH Crawford Conference Center, located on the first floor of the hospital’s main campus. The night will include presentations, snacks from Whole Foods, wines from Swirl Wine Shop, hand massages, Q & A Sessions and more.
Sessions will be given by leading experts in the cancer field, including:

- Dr. Amelia Jernigan, Gynecology Oncology
- Dr. Rabia Cattie, Hematology-Oncology
- Dr. Mary Beth Lobrano, Radiology-Breast Cancer Specialist

- Debbie Schmitz, Cancer Care Navigator
- Leah Woolf, Wellness Center Director
Booths will include: Integrative Medicine, Women & Newborn, Wellness Center, Volunteer Services, Pulmonology, Wound Care Center, Breast Care Center, Physical Therapy/Rehab and Oncology along with free screenings such as blood pressure, pulmonology and bone density.
