Eat, Drink, Cure on October 8

Fashion, food, and fun will be the order of the day Sunday, October 8, as Harrah’s New Orleans and New Orleans Fashion Week present Eat Drink Cure. This party with a purpose will honor breast cancer survivors and raise awareness and funds for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer  campaign. The event will be co-hosted by WGNO- TV’s Tamica Lee and Kenny Lopez.

Attendees will be serenaded by local singer/pianist Mecca as they sip cocktails, savor hors d’oeuvres from a bevy of restaurants including Besh Steak, Manning’s, the Buffet at Harrah’s, Gordon Biersch Brewery Restaurant, Morton’s Steakhouse, and Melt, and bid on silent auction items. The event will conclude with a live auction of bras decorated by Harrah’s New Orleans team members and showcased by male models.

The event will also feature a performance by the Rolling Elvi’s Jailhouse Rockers.

The event includes a fabulous fashion show featuring local designer Mimi Holaday. Holaday is the winner of NOFW’s 2017 Top Design Competition, and also ranked number one with the audience in the Yelp People’s Choice awards. New Orleans Magazine has named her one of their 2017 "People to Watch.”

Local breast cancer survivors will share the spotlight, taking an inspirational stroll down the runaway in their finest pink fashions.

Tickets are $30 per person or $250 for 10. All guests must be at least 21 years old.
