Susan G. Komen New Orleans
is thrilled to have
Fran Love and Angela Hill
serve as our Honorary Survivor Chairs

Pastor Fran LoveEnergetic, passionate, caring, graceful, humanitarian, lecturer, and actor, Fran Love is excited to be honored as our Honorary Survivor Chair at our Race for the Cure. She serves as Pastor with her husband, Lester Love, at the City of Love Church in New Orleans, where they joyfully raise their 3 daughters. The cutting-edge ministry of Fran Love is fresh and relevant anchored in transformative worship, rooted in solid Biblical principles.
In July of 2016, Fran was diagnosed with breast cancer which led to a double mastectomy. As she endured a series of surgeries and treatments, she continued to serve our great city. Today Pastor Fran is cancer free. She is living victoriously and firmly standing on her daily declaration “I am perfect, I am complete, wanting and lacking nothing”. She willingly shares her breast cancer journey to help others and their families and encourages all to get screened, know your risk and to make healthy lifestyle choices.

angela-hill-2016-2.jpgA graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Angela Hill joined WWL-TV in 1975 and became a regular anchor within a few months on the news team.  Ms. Hill's in-depth reports have covered local, national and international news, and she has received numerous awards including the regional Edward R. Murrow award and the Lifetime Achievement award from the Press Club of New Orleans.  In 2013, after 35 years of service, Ms. Hill retired from WWL-TV.
Angela’s 25 years as a Board Member, volunteer and now Honorary Board Member of the Susan G. Komen New Orleans Affiliate has come full circle.  In early summer of 2017, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and underwent a double mastectomy.  "I remember thinking how many women I know that have been through this…almost epidemic… but I know in my heart, of all the choices I've made, the most important one was that I was going to live.  And I know that, because of what Susan G. Komen has done. The money raised for the research that’s been done in the last 25 years... Unbelievable." Angela continues to be an inspiration to us all.
