Celebrate the 31st Anniversary of America's Most Dazzling Holiday Light Festival  New Orleans City Park Celebration in the Oaks Tickets on Sale Now New Orleans (November 23, 2017) WHAT:      City Park's famous oaks are swathed in hundreds of thousands twinkling lights, with breathtaking light exhibits that are displayed throughout 25 acres of the Park. While there are many traditional displays like the Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree, Mr. Bingle (it's his 70th birthday this year!), and the Cajun Night before Christmas, there are many new wonders this year including a "Tree of 300s" in celebration of the city's 300th birthday. From the train route, visitors may also view the 'NOLA 300' sculpture placed on Lelong Drive near Big Lake. Tickets are on sale now at CelebrationInTheOaks.com. Look for Humpty Dumpty! New this year: - A Naughty or Nice Machine - stand inside the arch, press the button, and you'll be told if you're naughty or nice. The answer magically goes straight to Santa's List and he checks it twice! - A tri-centennial Tree with a lighted 300 hanging from the limbs - Additions to the Royal Star (a spinning iridescent dodecahedron) - Massive Cotton Candy in the Amusement Park - Snow falling in the Birthday Party Village - An even bigger campfire to roast marshmallows in the Amusement Park -A "12 Yats of Christmas" addition to the Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree installation "New Orleans City Park is the perfect place to host this annual holiday event.
