WHAT:      City Park's famous oaks are swathed in hundreds of thousands twinkling lights, with breathtaking light exhibits that are displayed throughout 25 acres of the Park. While there are many traditional displays like the Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree, Mr. Bingle (it's his 70th birthday this year!), and the Cajun Night before Christmas, there are many new wonders this year including a "Tree of 300s" in celebration of the city's 300th birthday. From the train route, visitors may also view the 'NOLA 300' sculpture placed on Lelong Drive near Big Lake. Tickets are on sale now at CelebrationInTheOaks.com.
"Celebration in the Oaks is a wonderful display that people come from all over to enjoy," says Bob Becker, CEO. "Coupled with the many traditional items visitors see each year, the new exhibits are an example of the creativity our team has with lights and engineering."
