The Women in Breast Cancer Clinical Trials are the Real Heroes

Dr. Thomas Julian has always loved chemistry, and knew he wanted to pursue his passion at the University of Pittsburgh, just an hour’s drive from his hometown of New Castle, PA. When he enrolled as an undergraduate in the late 1960s, he wasn't completely sure of his career path. However, after living through his mother's medical struggles, he dedicated his career, and his life, to medicine and helping women.

Dr. Julian joined the fight against breast cancer as a surgeon and clinical researcher, and he relishes the opportunity to this day. "I have the opportunity to help thousands of women, to help them enjoy a long life with their friends, family, and work," he says with a smile......
