 | Will it stay or will it go?
In its recently passed tax reform bill, Senators included a health care provision that nonpartisan analysts say will lead to increased insurance premiums and fewer people having coverage.
However, the tax reform bill passed by the U.S. House doesn’t include it. That means House and Senate leaders will negotiate whether to include the provision in the final legislation.
For many in Congress, this provision is an afterthought to a much larger package of tax changes. But, for cancer patients and survivors, this issue is critically important.
I’ll be honest - this is an uphill battle, but it’s one we need to keep fighting. It’s important that lawmakers understand how critical affordable health insurance is to people with cancer.
Send a message to your members of Congress and make sure they understand the importance of having access to quality, affordable health coverage. It takes less than a minute using our easy action tool.
This bill might be close to the finish line, but we’re not going to let it pass without making sure the voices of cancer patients and survivors are heard loudly on Capitol Hill.
Thank you,
