Cathy,
Time is running out.
I know it’s only June, but congressional leadership plans to debate fewer and fewer bills prior to the mid-term election.
We’ve never been this close to passing our legislation that will improve the quality of life for cancer patients and survivors. However, we need lawmakers to hear from constituents that this is an important issue that demands their attention.
Can you spare two minutes to leave a phone message for your U.S. Senator? It’s so easy.
- Call 1-888-863-6102.
- You’ll enter your zip code and be transferred to your Senator’s office.
- Leave the below message with the receptionist or on their voice mail.
My name is [your name] and I’m from [your city]. Cancer patients need improved access to a better type of cancer care. Please ask the senator to support the Palliative Care and Hospice Education and Training Act, S-693. It will improve the quality of life for cancer patients and survivors.
Our bill will lead to more cancer patients and survivors receiving a better type of cancer care that can reduce their pain, provide stronger emotional support and better coordinate care among their doctors.
This is our chance, but time is running short.
Thank you,
Kristin Nabers
Associate Director, Grassroots Campaigns
P.S. You can call during the day or night. Simply leave the above message on their voice mail. The phone number to call is 1-888-863-6102.
