New Orleans Food Cooperative Local Food and Farmer Love

This newsletter is sponsored by the New Orleans Food Cooperative

Have you visited the New Orleans Food Cooperative lately? If you have, you have probably noticed their renewed commitment to local food. With over 20 local farmers products stocking the produce cooler and new local dairy and fish options, they are walking the walk on local food. If you haven't been, now is the time!

New Orleans Food Coop celebrates Eat Local Challenge finale day June 30 from 1-5pm

Join fellow locavores for Eat Local Day on June 30 from 1-5 at the New Orleans Food Cooperative. Meet and greet local vendors Big Easy Bucha, Gnarly Barley Brewing, and Holy Way Farms. Live music and a local menu at the deli hot bar make this a fun local-centric afternoon. The shelves currently have a wide selection of local fruits and veggies including local watermelon, corn, mushrooms, and tomatoes. Looking for seafood? Find beautiful sheepshead fish from Quincy Verret and shrimp from Lance Nacio, both from Terrebonne Parish. Meat and dairy your thing? New selection of local meat and dairy options available every day. Don't forget the new Local Produce Boxes available every day for $27 ($25 for co-op members). The New Orleans Food Co-op really is the one-stop shop for all foods local year-round!
