From Cancer Fear to Cancer Fierce - Why the Biden Cancer Summit Matters
"Let’s all commit to moving from Cancer Fear to #cancerFIERCE. Let’s commit to joining the movement and to building the cancer care system that our
country deserves," Kim Thiboldeaux, CSC CEO.
On Friday, September 21, the Biden Cancer Initiative (BCI) hosted the Biden Cancer Summit in Washington, DC. The Summit gathered hundreds of scientists, researchers, patients, advocates, government officials, media influencers and business leaders with the goal of accelerating our progress in the fight against cancer. 38 CSC affiliates and dozens of other organizations across the United States held community cancer summits focused on improving the cancer journey for all.
Read Kim's perspective on why last Friday's #BidenCancerSummit matters to patients, caregivers, advocates, health care professionals, and all who are involved in cancer in her new post on Medium.

In Memory of Marin Mazzie
We paid tribute to the life, contributions, and heroic advocacy efforts of celebrated actress Marin Mazzie, a three-time Tony Award nominee, who died from ovarian cancer nearly two weeks ago.
“The entire Cancer Support Community mourns the passing of our champion and ally Marin Mazzie,”said Kim Thiboldeaux, CEO of the Cancer Support Community. “Marin was a relentless advocate for all the work we do to help cancer patients and their loved ones. Our thoughts are with her husband, Jason Danieley, their friends and family, and the entire Broadway community. Her legacy is one of courage and determination—a spirit that will continue to inspire us and all the families affected by cancer who turn to our organization for support.:
