Advocacy Request from the American Cancer Society (LOUISIANA residents)

Cathy,

It all comes down to this.

Our legislation to improve the quality of life for cancer patients and survivors is wildly popular. And it’s totally bipartisan.

If it comes up for a vote, we’re confident it will pass in the U.S. Senate, just like it did earlier this year in the U.S. House of Representatives.

But, it’s stuck in a key Senate committee - a committee that your Senator is on.

Send a message to Senator Bill Cassidy and ask them to cosponsor and push for passage of this important legislation. It takes less than one minute using our easy action form.

Our legislation will provide more cancer patients and survivors with exactly the things they tell us they need:
  • Less pain during treatment and survivorship
  • Coordinated care among their doctors
  • Emotional support for themselves and their caregivers
We just need this Senate committee to allow for a vote. And your Senator can help make it happen.

Please take action now and let’s convince Sen. Cassidy to do the right thing for the millions of Americans impacted by cancer.

Thank you,

Kristin Nabers
Associate Director, Grassroots Campaigns
