The Basics of Alzheimer's Disease

Alzheimer’s disease is not a normal part of aging. It is a progressive and fatal brain disease that is the most common form of dementia. This workshop, presented by the Alzheimer’s Association, is for anyone who would like to know more about Alzheimer’s and related dementias. Topics will include symptoms and effects of Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia, how Alzheimer’s affects the brain, the benefits of early detection, treatment, hope for the future, and more.

Propeller

Entrepreneurship in New Orleans: An Introduction

Learn more about the entrepreneurial ecosystem in New Orleans as well as the resources available to local entrepreneurs with Propeller. Propeller grows and supports entrepreneurs to tackle social and environmental disparities. Through a variety of business accelerator programs, pitch competitions, and community workshops, Propeller has supported over 200 ventures since 2011.

She covers topics ranging from mentorship to establishing your own brand.
