Dear Friends,
As we approach the end of the year, what things are you thankful for?
For us there is so much to give thanks for. From announcing a new collaboration with Walgreens, winning awards for our digital content, to releasing new free educational materials, we had a very busy and thankful November.
None of it would've been possible without you and your support of our mission.
See below to check out where we've been this past month and feel free to forward to your friends and loved ones.
In Appreciation,
The Cancer Support Community Team

Walgreens, CSC Announce Partnership
Walgreens last month announced that it has launched a new program called Feel More Like You™, developed in collaboration with the Cancer Support Community and Look Good, Feel Better to help people living with cancer and their caregivers manage the potential physical changes associated with cancer treatment. The exclusive offering will be available at more than 400 Walgreens stores in select markets across the country.
"We are proud to collaborate with Walgreens to develop an important initiative that includes best practices gleaned from our more than 35 years of listening to patients and developing programs that meet their needs, " said Kim Thiboldeaux, CEO of the Cancer Support Community. "This is a win for patients. The individuals who benefit from our network of CSC and Gilda's Club affiliates and other resources will learn about Walgreens new patient-focused program, while Walgreens customers in these markets will be made aware of the free services we provide in-person through CSC affiliates, online, and through our toll-free Helpline."

Adequate Health Care Options Could Be Threatened by New Waiver Authority
Recently the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services released new guidance for the Affordable Care Act's section 1332 waivers, expanding the power of 1332s and allowing states to use the waivers to adjust traditional compliance with ACA requirements. The Administration has stated that these changes are an attempt to increase competition and choice in insurance markets.
However, the CSC Cancer Policy Institute writes that we are concerned that they could allow for the growth of inadequate and expensive alternative health care plans. Learn more and sign up to be part of our grassroots network: bit.ly/2RyaTIY

CSC Celebrates Colorado Gives Day
Today is Colorado Gives Day, a day in which the people of Colorado honor nonprofits they believe make a difference. Colorado is special to us because it's the home of our MyLifeLine office. You may remember that MyLifeLine, which is based in Denver, became part of our organization earlier this year.
This year we're thrilled to announce that both Mike Shaw Subaru and Eisai have each generously offered to match every donation up to $10,000 to help all people impacted by cancer.
