E-Resources Help Hour

Learn about the many electronic resources, including e-books and audiobooks, available through the Library. Bring your laptop, smart phone, tablet, or e-reader for individual assistance. If you are unable to make the Help Hour, call Smith Library at 504-596-2638 to make an appointment.

Are you confused about what Medicare is? Do you know what it covers and what it costs? Are you not sure how or when you need to enroll? Join us for this educational drop-in, where you can get the answers to all of your questions. Don’t keep yourself in the dark when making decisions about your Medicare health care options. Educational materials will also be available.

New Journeys Toastmasters Club

New Journeys Toastmasters club provides a fun, supportive, and positive learning experience where members and guests are empowered to develop public speaking, communication, and leadership skills. For ages 18 & over.

Bike Easy

Bike Lock Check Out

Library staff regularly noticed people having to leave their bikes unlocked outside when the would visit the Library; and, with bikes serving as so many people’s primary method of transportation, the staff knew something needed to be done. All 15 Library locations have bike locks for daily check out. The bike locks are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are only to be used on Library bike racks.
