Happy Carnival, New Orleans!

As we approach the first weekend of Uptown and Westbank parades, take a moment to plan out your Mardi Gras experience. We've got the info you need.
Getting there. Avoid the traffic headache by using alternatives to driving. But if you are driving, plan ahead for street closures and parking restrictions. See transportation details.
What to bring. Be courteous to fellow parade goers when setting up to view parades and remember not to leave items on sidewalks, neutral grounds, or along curbs overnight. Leave drones and weapons at home. And, help limit the environmental impact of Carnival by cleaning your area and recycling unwanted items. See details on what to bring.
Safety & first aid. Keep track of your group, be aware of your surroundings, and enjoy the parades from the sidelines. If you need medical assistance or have a lost child, stop by one of the first aid and lost children stations along the route. And, maximize your parade time by knowing locations of public restrooms. See safety details.
Permit information. Mardi Gras offers economic opportunities for residents and businesses. But, be sure you're following all rules and regulations to avoid enforcement. See vendor details.
Until next month,
- The Team at NOLA ReadyHelping you stay #ReadyYearRound
