Floral displays will fill museum galleries from March 28-31
Patron Party: March 27 | Friday Nights at NOMA: March 29
One of the most anticipated springtime events in New Orleans, Art in Bloom returns to NOMA with elaborate floral displays from 100 exhibitors paired with works of art from March 28-31. Purchase tickets to the patron preview party on Wednesday, March 27. The deadline for online purchases is 9 am on March 27. Afterwards, tickets may be purchased at the door or call 504.658.4121. The museum will close at 4:30 pm on March 27 (last admittance 4 pm) in preparation for the party. The online auction is also open for bidding, featuring unique works of art, jewelry, home decor, gift certificates, and more.

Besthoff Sculpture Garden hosts Louisiana Rainbow Iris Festival on March 31
Horticulture specialists and gardening enthusiasts will gather on Sunday, March 31, from 10 am to 4 pm for the annual Louisiana Rainbow Iris Festival. The native flowers, planted along walkways surrounding the lagoon, are in bloom for a short time. Visitors will have the opportunity to ask on-site iris experts gardening-related questions. Entry to the festival is free.

Summer Art Camps open for enrollment
Summer Art Camps are selling out fast. Enroll now in any or all of the eight weeklong sessions from June 3 to August 2 (excluding the week of July 4). The fee is $300 per week for NOMA members | $400 per week for nonmembers. Choose from visual or performing art camps for age groups 5-7 and 8-10.

High school students encouraged to join Teen Squad
NOMA seeks creative, enthusiastic, and dedicated high school students are encouraged to join the Teen Squad. Participating students meet weekly after school to participate in workshops with artists, tour the museum with staff, and visit a variety of other cultural institutions. The program is open to all high school youth from a varsity of school settings: charter, public, private, homeschool, etc. Read more about Teen Squad and apply.

Join a talk or tour
Noontime Talks are casual conversations scheduled at noon between artists, curators, and other special guests with NOMA visitors. Curator Katie Pfohl will discuss Keith Sonnier: Until Today on Wednesday, March 27. She will discuss Bondye: Between and Beyond on Wednesday, April 3.
Docent-guided tours are offered daily at 1 pm. Tours of the Besthoff Sculpture Garden are given on Saturdays and Mondays at noon, weather permitting. Beginning April 5, additional tours will be offered on Fridays at noon. Call 504.658.4153 to verify.

Baby ArtsPlay! engages youngest NOMA visitors
Instill a love of art at an early age through a guided, interactive experience with Baby ArtsPlay! Young Audiences Wolf Trap teaching artists will present a series of six workshops on Saturday mornings for children ages 0-3 and their caregivers. Parents, grandparents, guardians and their young ones are welcome to join the the third of six sessions of Baby ArtsPlay! on Saturday, March 30, at 10:30 am, which will focus on "Express Yourself" (early language). Wellness Classes among the artworks
NOMA, in collaboration with East Jefferson Wellness Center, offers wellness classes every Saturday morning and Monday evening.
Yoga in the Sculpture Garden: Saturday, March 30, 8 - 9 am
Tai Chi/Chi Kung: Monday, April 1, 6 - 7 pm

In the weeks ahead
Friday, April 5: Friday Nights at NOMA hosts a College Night. The museum welcomes all college staff, faculty, and students for free from 5 - 9 pm.
Saturday, April 13: Thousands of treat-filled plastic eggs will be up for grabs in the Besthoff Sculpture Garden (or inside the museum, weather dependent) at the ever-popular NOMA Egg Hunt and Family Fest. Purchase tickets now for this event that regularly sells out.
SAVE THE DATE! The much-anticipated expansion of the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden opens to the public on Wednesday, May 15, at 11 am. Read more about our progress on this exciting addition to NOMA.
