If you’re tired of wondering what you should and should not be eating as a cancer survivor, caregiver or someone interested in risk reduction, then this series is for you! There is a lot of confusion about what is “good” and “bad” for cancer survivors to eat, but this series will teach you about the basics of a healthy diet that isn’t just good for survivors, but for everyone!
As most of you know, I take a no nonsense, common sense approach to delivering nutrition information. First of all, I want to make sure my followers know the most evidence based information regarding nutrition and cancer. FYI – most of the info you read online, on social media, and hear on the news is NOT evidence based. At best, they report on the most recent research study, which isn’t always that helpful.
It is time that we stop focusing on what we shouldn’t have and what we think is bad, or toxic. That’s negative and depressing. It’s time to key in on the most important things to put on your plate.
That’s what this educational series is for! I’ve designed it to cover my list of 6 daily habits of foods to include. Once you build that base, then you can layer other “choose your own adventure” preferences on top.
I broke it down so that you will get one email per week. There’s no use in trying to work on too many things at once. Take it easy and learn a little bit at a time is my theory. Probably most of you are already doing many of the things I recommend, so it will hopefully give you the encouragement and “pat on the back” that you’re doing a good job and to keep it up!
As a special bonus, anyone who stick with me through the end of this series and fill out the survey to receive a free Plant-Based Diet printable and be entered for a chance to win a complimentary one on one phone consultation with me! I will pick a winner once a month.
I hope this is something you will find useful, or that you will recommend to a friend!
– Julie
PS – In case you missed the last post, I’m CELEBRATING my 40th birthday in a few weeks and I’m asking for contributions to the Milestone Fund at Cancer Services, Inc. I figure some of my regulars will want to help make sure that the Cancer Dietitian programs can continue for many years! All gifts are tax deductible. Cancer Services is rated as a platinum charity by guidstar so you can be sure that your donation will be used responsibly!
