Advocacy Request from the American Cancer Society

Dear Cathy,

We are almost there!

Thanks to the efforts of advocates like you, the bill to establish a State Advisory Council on Palliative Care and Quality of Life is heading to the Senate floor for a full vote this afternoon.

Let your Senator know it is time to take the next step to reduce barriers and increase access to palliative care in Louisiana.

Palliative care is specialized, coordinated medical care for people with serious illnesses like cancer and is appropriate at any age and any stage of their illness. The goal is to improve the quality of life for both the patient and their family and can lead to a more efficient health care system.

Thanks so much for your help!
