Tai Chi in the Garden

Tai Chi is a martial art derived from the principles of relaxing, grounding, releasing tension, and staying present in the moment. Learn these ancient techniques in the Alvar garden. Classes will be led by Sam from New Orleans Shaolin-Do. Sam is a 3rd-degree black belt in Shaolin Kung Fu under Sifu Joseph Meissner in New Orleans in the lineage of Grandmaster Sin Kwang The'. He is a senior instructor at New Orleans Shaolin-Do and manages the studio.

Infinite Summer Book Club

Looking for a summer reading challenge? Join the Infinite Summer Book Club and read 100 pages of David Foster Wallace’s "Infinite Jest" each week. Then meet up with others to discuss. At our first meeting, on June 6, we will talk about the reading schedule and other general things. No pre-reading required.
