October is Health Literacy Month, and we will have various experts will be on hand to discuss ways you can be more proactive in decisions concerning your health and wellness. Topics will include talking to your pharmacist, tips for improving communication with your doctor, healthy grocery shopping on a budget, and finding reliable health information online. In partnership with Krewe de Lose and LCMC Health. How is a chart like a comic strip? What’s so creepy and compelling about the human body? Why make a wordless encyclopedia? HWNOLA

Healthy Women New Orleans

This series is part of a Women’s Health Initiative that will take place at New Orleans Public Library locations throughout the City of New Orleans and provide blood pressure screenings, provider consultations, health education, and resources to the women of New Orleans.

Presented by Touro, the Mayor’s Office of Youth and Family Services, and the New Orleans Public Library.

The next Healthy Women New Orleans will take place at Nora Navra Library on Saturday, October 12 from 10am - 12pm.
