Accurate and efficient typing skills can help you get the job, get a better job, get the resources you need, and stay connected with friends and loved ones. Practice touch key typing in self-paced, online exercises. Test your typing skills at various levels of proficiency and speed. Improve your digital skills in a supportive, inclusive environment.

Yarn Art

Learn how to crochet and knit and hang out with other crafters. If you already know how, hang out anyway. Some supplies provided, but feel free to bring your own project.

East New Orleans Regional Library

Computer 101

Get assistance with Microsoft Word, email set-up and use, job résumé building, or bring your own computer questions. In partnership with Tulane School of Medicine's Brinton Family Health and Healing Center.

Mid-City Library

In the Garden Writers' Workshop

Writers of all levels of experience are welcome to attend this workshop that alternates between poetry and prose. The last session in May will be a reading by workshop participants.

Enter the Black History Month Student Poster Design Contest

All entries will be judged on creativity, artistic merit, and best representation of the 2020 Black History Month theme: “African Americans and the Vote."

Winning posters will be displayed at all 15 Library locations. Copies of the winning posters will be given to winners and their schools.

Entry Deadline: Saturday, February 29 at 5pm
