This PRE-ORDER ONLY market will feature fruits and vegetables, meats, dairy and eggs, breads and baked goods, and a variety of artisanal prepared and ready to eat foods. All purchases must be made directly through vendors using electronic payment methods – no sales will take place on site. Vendors will be taking orders until Saturday, April 4 at noon.
When you arrive to market on Sunday, you'll just pop your trunk and drive through the lineup of vendors who will place your pre-ordered items in your trunk for a no-contact market - no need to leave your car at all! Market staff will be on hand to guide traffic flow, let vendors know who’s next in the queue so they may pull orders, and ensure all necessary safety precautions are taken.
For SNAP purchases, shoppers should place orders with Market Umbrella staff at 504-495-1459. Market Umbrella’s Market Match program, which matches SNAP purchases dollar for dollar, up to $20, will also be available, and staff will be able to assist with these transactions.
The market will take place at Parkway Bakery and Tavern at 538 Hagan Avenue. Customers should enter the lot from Lafitte Street and exit onto Toulouse Street to maintain the flow of traffic.
