For China, Vietnam, and other countries across East and Southeast Asia, the Lunar New Year is one of the most important celebrations on the calendar.
Learn more about the Lunar New Year through works from NOMA’s collection that depict festive performances, the symbol of the plum blossom, and a neighborhood that was notoriously quiet on New Year’s Day.
#EXPLORENOMA AT NIGHT
This Friday, February 4, 6–10 pm, see the museum in a new way. Join us as we kick off a new series of late-night programs with live performances, a special service project, tours, a DJ, and a full bar.
VIRTUAL PROGRAM
On Thursday, February 10, at 6:30 pm, the museum presents a virtual panel discussion about the life and work of Margaret T.G. Burroughs and a recently acquired self-portrait by the artist.
