Advocacy Request from the American Cancer Society

	Cathy, It’s a step, but we need more. Yesterday, the U.S. House of Representatives passed a budget that includes an increase in cancer research funding. Thanks to your actions, lawmakers recognized that our nation must do more to fight cancer, and that starts with research. While we’re grateful for this increase in cancer research funding, it simply isn’t enough. We can’t allow potentially lifesaving projects to go unfunded. Soon, the Senate will be working on their version of the budget, and we need to convince them to increase funding for cancer research even more, to what patients really need. More treatments. More cures. And more lives saved. We’ll need your voice on this again soon, so keep an eye on your email. Together, we can make sure the U.S. Senate knows the importance of cancer research funding and how critical they are to saving more lives from cancer. Thank you for taking action.
