Check Out the Winter Informal at NOCCA on December 16th from 3-7 pm


WHO: Press Street Gardens, in partnership with fellow NOCCA Institute outlets Press Street Station and 5 Press Gallery and featuring performances by NOCCA students, culinary gifts from NOCCA Culinary Arts students, and a special presentation from Maypop Community Herb Shop.

WHAT: Winter Informal, a casual holiday garden party featuring shopping from local artists featured in the 5 Press Gallery “Wishlist” show and NOCCA Holiday Marketplace treats from NOCCA’s Culinary Arts students; drinks and food from Chef Michael Doyle and Press Street Station; Fire Cider from Maypop Community Herb Shop; winter planting classes, lawn games, meet and greets with Press Street Gardens’ famous goats, and much more!

WHERE: Press Street Gardens, 7 Press Street (between Dauphine and Burgundy), New Orleans, LA 70115

WHEN: Saturday, December 16 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm

WHY: Press Street Gardens is an urban farm and outdoor learning lab funded by The NOCCA Institute, the nonprofit partner of the New Orleans Center for Creative Arts. We offer an exciting urban green space for workshops, meetings, and other activities. Through these events, we hope to educate participants about topics ranging from proper gardening techniques, nutrition, and personal well-being to wetlands restoration and environmental stewardship.

Like 5 Press Gallery, Press Street Station, and other NOCCA Institute projects, proceeds from Press Street Gardens support programs for NOCCA students, faculty, and the community.

HOW: Just show up! Admission is free, and food and beverage are for sale

Brunch your way through summer at Press Street Station!

NOCCA students are officially on break, and starting next week, Press Street Station is taking a little breather. Our summer hours are all about brunch, but don't worry, night-owls: we're planning some great special events for you, too. Stay tuned for details!

June & July: Summer Studio offers arts classes for adults!

This summer, The NOCCA Institute is offering an array of classes for aspiring and established writers, chefs, filmmakers, musicians, painters, and more. These classes are hands-on, giving you the tools you need to perfect your skills and learn some outstanding new techniques.

Press Street Gardens' final workshop of the summer

The temperatures are heating up, and Press Street Gardens' weekly workshop series is winding down. Join us this Saturday for the last of the summer's free classes, supported by Chevron. 
Starting Your Fall Seeds Right
Saturday, June 1010am-12pm
Get the proper techniques down early so that you can sow your fall seeds seamlessly. Learn about seeding as well as transplanting and potting up.

Join 5 Press Gallery this Saturday from 6pm-9pm for the opening reception for Hand-Pulled ; Hand-Thrown. The show features prints and pottery from nearly two dozen local artists. Be sure to visit Press Street Station next-door for great food and drink!
July 31: Young artists apply for Broadway Theatre Connection

Broadway Theatre Connection returns to NOCCA for a five-day musical theatre intensive from July 31 - August 4, geared to young artists age 8 to 20.
