New Orleans City Park Named One of the 'Gorgeous Spaces in Some of the World’s Biggest Cities'
Online review site Trip Advisor has announced the 7 Gorgeous Green Spaces in Some of the World’s Biggest Cities. New Orleans City Park is proud to be named one of seven ‘gorgeous spaces’ and the only in New Orleans mentioned. With its many attractions, events, and open green spaces, City Park’s 1300 acres is a dream destination for anyone year-round.

Thursdays at Twilight

This weekly series showcases some of the finest musicians in New Orleans featuring traditional jazz, rhythm and blues, and an assortment of music styles. Click for details and a schedule.
Public Meeting: Wisner Tract Master Plan

 Design Workshop will present drawings for the tract based on the input gathered from the first round of public meetings in 2019. Attendees will give feedback on the plans.

A free event in the New Orleans Botanical Garden

10 am to 5 pm Garden Hours
5 pm to 8 pm Special Programming
Parking: Street Parking and Parking Lot
Admission: free for Louisiana residents courtesy of The Helis Foundation on Wednesdays

2018 October dates and special programming schedule: 
October 10th: Geovane Santos trio, guitarist and singer from Brazil

October 17th: Patrice Fisher, harpist and composer from New Orleans & Javier Olondo guitarist from Cuba

October 24th: Javier Gutierrez duo, guitarist and singer from Bolivia

October 31st: Special Day of the Dead programming with a Day of the Dead Alter by artist Cynthia Ramirez and music by Paky Saavedra, guitarist and composer from Honduras

Each week Evenings with Enrique will feature local musicians playing among the collection of 15 sculptures by the famed Mexican-American artist. Visitors to the Garden will be able to view the work of Enrique AlfĂ©rez under enhanced lighting and fire baskets suspended from the branches of a Live Oak tree. Guests are invited to purchase mojitos and Latin food provided by the La Cocinita food truck.
