For more information, click here. Applications for the 2017 Professional Development Micro-Grants will be open on Monday, October 2nd, 2018 and accepted through Monday, November 6th, 2017. This program offers cancer patients and survivors financial assistance to acquire or advance job-related skills. A 2016 Micro-Grant recipient said: “I had lost a lot of my identity when I had to leave my job because of cancer. [Receiving the micro-grant] was a huge step for my recovery—to reclaim my career.” Some examples of how the micro-grants can be used include online courses, career coaching, workshops and certifications.
