ENJOY THE BESTHOFF SCULPTURE GARDEN ON INTERNATIONAL SCULPTURE DAY
Saturday, May 28, open 10 am to 6 pm
In celebration of International Sculpture Day, join New Orleans Museum of Art's docents for a free guided tour of the Sydney and Walda Besthoff Sculpture Garden at noon. Sited on five acres adjacent to the museum, the garden contains more than 60 works by renowned sculptors, including Pierre Auguste Renoir, Rene Magritte, Henry Moore, Isamu Noguchi, and Robert Indiana. Meet at the gates to the garden, which offers free admission year-round.
Visitors are also invited to partake in a scavenger hunt throughout the day, exploring sculptures placed among winding footpaths through live oaks and magnolias. Scavenger hunt guidelines can be picked up at the window at the entrance to the Sculpture Garden.
