Advocacy Request from the American Cancer Society

Cathy,

Our bill is on the move!

Last week, our legislation to improve the quality of life for cancer patients and survivors passed unanimously in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Now, we need the U.S. Senate to get moving, too.

We’re joining with more than 50 cancer and health organizations today for a Day of Action, and I knew you’d want to be part of it.

You can make an impact by tweeting the below message to your U.S. Senator:
Fighting cancer is hard and we could use your help @billcassidy. Please cosponsor #PCHETA and #MakeTodayBetter for cancer patients.
Don’t tweet? Don’t worry. You can join our day of action by sending your senator a message instead. It takes less than a minute using our easy action form.

Our bill will lead to more cancer patients and survivors receiving a better type of cancer care that can reduce their pain, provide stronger emotional support, and better coordinate care among their doctors.

Thank you for participating in this exciting day.

Kristin Nabers
Associate Director, Grassroots Campaigns

P.S. Yes, it’s okay to complete both actions as well. But, please be sure you tweet first so your senator feels the pressure on social media!
