Advocacy Request from the American Cance r Society

Cathy,

He can stop this.

Alex Azar is the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services. His agency’s mission is to “enhance and protect the health and well-being of all Americans.”

Yet, his agency has proposed a devastating new regulation that could deny millions of cancer patients health coverage for the newest cancer drugs. This regulation - which impacts 43 million Americans on Medicare Part D - could even overrule your oncologist and refuse to provide the drug your doctor recommends.

Today, we’re joining with nearly 60 patient groups for a Day of Action, and I knew you’d want to be part of it.

Tweet at Secretary Azar now and ask him to stop this dangerous regulation.

Please #DontDelayAccess to lifesaving drugs for cancer patients. Stop proposed changes to the Medicare prescription drug benefit, @SecAzar. It will hurt cancer patients and people could be denied coverage for drugs they need. #CoverCancerRX

Don’t tweet? Don’t worry. You can join our Day of Action by sending a message to Secretary Azarinstead. It takes less than a minute using our easy action form.

Thank you for participating in this exciting day.

Korinne Moore Berenson
Senior Director, Grassroots Campaigns

P.S. Yes, it’s okay to complete both actions, but please be sure you tweet first so Secretary Azar feels the pressure on social media!
