While the U.S. has made much progress against cancer in the past half-century, more funding is desperately needed to meet the overwhelming demand for research grants, address cancer health disparities, and continue preventing, detecting, and treating cancer. In FY23, we ask Congress to support:
- $49 billion for the base budget of the National Institutes of Health (NIH)
- $7.766 billion for the National Cancer Institute (NCI)
- $462.6 million for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC’s) cancer programs
