LIMITED TICKETS REMAINING
This Sunday, December 4, pop-art band People Museum give a special one-night-only performance underneath Louise Bourgeois’s monumental Spider in the Besthoff Sculpture Garden.
People Museum’s new EP Destruction of, Vol. 1 takes inspiration from Bourgeois’s life and work, and this performance at NOMA is the only time to hear the album played live in its entirety.
Claire Givens and Jeremy Phipps of People Museum were part of NOMA’s inaugural Creative Assembly Cohort, a multidisciplinary group of artists invited to use the museum’s collection, exhibitions, and programs as catalysts to create new research and artwork.
Watch an interview with Givens and Phipps about the genesis of this project.
WORLD AIDS DAY
Today, Thursday, December 1, NOMA is partnering with Visual AIDS to present a program of seven short videos highlighting under-told stories of HIV and AIDS from around the world.
